On September 14th, 2013 Captain and Clark were wed. Today, we thank the brilliant craft of Kristal Joy Photography for all their hard work in capturing the glory that was our wedding.

So it begins.

The stage was set

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Cupcakes ready

Rings standing by

All our guests got to take home canned goods that we had made earlier

Final words of wisdom from Captain’s father, the Admiral

Apparently beauty takes some work

Worth it

Waiting for Tawny to get ready

She approaches

Hell yes

First look

Our first walk, all dressed up

Getting ready

Groomsmen, assemble!

Bride’s party, coalesce!

Together, we shall wed.

And wed, we did

This was their reaction when I told them I was getting married

The ladies weren’t as surprised

Groomsmen

Groomsmen

Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids

Getting ready was easy

So long as there weren’t any paparazzi around

The party

Maid of Honor

Best Man

An adored and loved bridesmaid

Whom was also a beloved groom’s maid

A most trusted and revered groomsman

Whom was also a most loyal and endearing bride’s man

We welcome our family and God

The laying of hands

At last, Tawny arrives

The world stopped breathing

Thanks new Dad

Mr. Tristan Morris performs the Welcome

The Ceremony performed by the Admiral

My eyes were sweating

Somebody else’s eyes were sweating too

AND THEN THE PARTY BEGINS!

With cake

There wasn’t a knife so we used our own

And toasts

Toasting

A TOAST!!!

There was much frivolity!

There was a special musical guest. See the video below

This moment was perfect

First dance

Daddy daughter

Mother Son

Then the dancing began in earnest

Love the photos, guys! You’re adorable. Tawny that is the perfect dress. I always think lace is so classy and if I had (have, whatever) a wedding, I’d do lace as well. Absolutely perfect!

Amazing photos. What a spectacular backdrop. I also love weddings when bridesmaids can choose their own dresses… you can really tell they look so much more comfortable and happy! I got to do this for my brother’s wedding, and I was quite happy to do so. The men all look sharp and dapper as well!

Where did the groom get his attire? I love it and we are looking for something similar for our wedding this summer!
Captain & Clark
Hey Jenna, he got his pants from Express Men and the suspenders from Etsy. The shirt and shoes were from Nordstrom Rack and we made the boutineers. I hope that helps. Good luck with your wedding this summer! How exciting.
Elizabeth
Hi! I am also looking for something similar! Am having trouble finding grey suspenders with the brown leather like yours – what was the name of the etsy shop where you got these? Thanks!
Captain & Clark
Hi! So, I spoke with the hubby and he says that he got them on ebay. They came in a pack and he’s pretty sure they were sent from somewhere in Asia. I know that doesn’t really help but it wouldn’t hurt to search. I would also recommend checking on Amazon.com. Best of luck!

^^^^On ebay! I also came across your wedding photos on pinterest, and want something very similar to the grooms attire for my fiance’ groomsmen. I hope I found the right ones! They look very close, so we’ll have to wait and see when they arrive! God Bless!

Good grief! I definitely fell down an internet hole on your website… At first I was reading your post about the Costa Brava, then videos in Iceland and Bahrain, and now wedding pictures! We really have been through a lot already, haha. I’m loving your work and I am looking forward to more.
Cheers,

I wish these photographs focused more on the detail of the dress. They are all high quality photos but the dress looks almost plain white. I’ve seen this dress up close and it’s so much more beautiful and detailed and lacy. Maybe a thought for the photographers to consider?
