Help make our dreams come true…

As explorers, we come from a long and glorious tradition of discovery, trail blazing, and … asking for money.  Even Columbus needed some support from the royals!

Well, our time has come.  As most of you know, we recently completed the first part of The Maverick Expedition- the epic journey that will soon take us around the world.  It was less than a month ago that we returned from the Galapagos islands with 22 letters in hand.  Letters that we took from a 200 year old whiskey barrel.  Letters that we’ll be delivering to strangers by hand.  It’s a story of exploration, adventure, and communication and we can’t wait to share the journey with you!

This is where we need your help.  This is our second fundraiser for our expedition.  Our first campaign raised enough money for us to update our equipment (our last video camera died a month before we departed), obtain travel insurance, as well as get us to the Galapagos islands and back.  It was a huge success and we will be forever grateful to our gracious sponsors.

This time around we’re looking to raise enough money to support and sustain us as we deliver these letters. We plan on being abroad for at least six months and want to be financially stable before we take the plunge. The best part about our fundraiser is that there are huge perks to being a sponsor!  Depending on your donation amount you might get a personal postcard from us as we’re on the journey, a few local gifts from an exotic country, or even your very own lego video made by yours truly!

We know that we’re in the midst of fellow travelers and that money might be tight.  If you don’t have the means to sponsor us at this point, would you please consider donating a few tweets or facebook statuses to the cause?  We would love to share our journey with as many people as possible.  Thank you so much for following along on the journey.  We are anxious to explore, deliver these letter, and document the adventure.
