Best way to get around Korea? A motorcycle!
One of the best purchases we made while living in South Korea was our motorcycle. It was actually my 24th birthday gift from Chris. For a whopping 500,000 won (roughly $450 USD) we were able to purchase our sweet ride from a fellow ex-pat and have free reign of our new home.
Chris stumbled upon this old video that we made shortly after we purchased the bike. We took a day trip out to Chilpo beach to take in the beautiful (and surprisingly warm) November weather. Not only is it fun to reminisce about our time in South Korea, but it’s also nice to see how far we’ve come with our video work. Feel free to skip the 40 second intro. We were so young and naive.
You should be warned, this video was taken the day after my birthday. I may or may not be a little hungover.
Have you ever taken a motorcycle or scooter through a country? Let us know in the comment section below. We’d love to hear your story.
Awesome blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!
We’ve always enjoyed our WordPress blog. The functionality and ease of it has been a great way to launch our stories.
The 40 second intro is a piece of art =) Anyway, thanks for sharing the video, Captain and Clark!
I did take a scooter trip around Korea( Busan) but it was kind of disaster. My phone was run out of battery, and most of Korean didn’t speak English, then I get lost for half of a day.
My trip to Vietnam was easier though most of locals also did not speak english, but the phone did help me out
